Listening Skills Workshop with Kathryn Mannix
Join renowned clinician, author and speaker Kathryn Mannix for an engaging and practical Listening Skills workshop designed for the public as well as health and care professionals. This interactive 2.5 hour session combines discussion, a short talk, live demonstration and hands-on practice to explore what it truly means to listen—without fixing, advising or interrupting. Through guided exercises (kept light-hearted and safe), participants will experience being the listener, the listened-to and the observer, gaining insights that can transform everyday conversations with family, friends, colleagues and clients. With warmth, humour and deep wisdom drawn from a lifetime working alongside dying people, Kathryn offers powerful tools for more compassionate, meaningful and human connection.
